1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Troobondr (“the Service”), operated for users in India. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
- You must be 18 years of age or older to use Troobondr.
- You must have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
- You must complete verification as required: selfie verification for all members, and government-ID verification (DigiLocker) for male members before messaging.
- You must not be a prohibited person or under any order barring use of such services.
3. Use of the Service
You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose: meeting and communicating with other members. You agree:
- To provide accurate, current and complete information and keep it updated.
- Not to create fake, duplicate or misleading profiles, or impersonate others.
- Not to harass, abuse, stalk or threaten any member or staff.
- Not to share non-consensual intimate imagery or explicit material without consent.
- Not to solicit money, perpetrate fraud or engage in scams (including romance-to-investment schemes).
- Not to scrape, crawl, or copy the Service or collect member data without authorisation.
- Not to use the Service for commercial activity without our written consent.
- Not to violate law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and IPC.
4. Verification & Vetting
Verification is integral to our safety architecture:
- Women complete selfie / photo verification.
- Men complete government-ID verification via DigiLocker plus a live selfie liveness check before messaging.
- Verification data is used only for verification and handled per our Privacy Policy.
- Profiles that fail verification are restricted until compliant or removed.
5. Community Standards
You must comply with our Community Guidelines. Breaches are handled proportionately:
- Warnings for minor issues.
- Suspension (7–30 days) for moderate or repeat violations.
- Permanent ban for severe violations, including harassment, fraud, non-consensual content and hate speech.
- Cooperation with law enforcement where required.
6. Messaging & Women-First Rule
- After a match, only the woman can start the conversation, within a 48-hour window.
- Men have reasonable message limits; limits may be adjusted to keep the community safe.
- We may moderate messaging to prevent abuse in line with our API and community protections.
7. Subscriptions & Payments
- Free tier: unlimited swipes, core messaging, verification and discovery — permanently free.
- Premium: convenience features (see Troobondr Premium).
- Pricing is shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew until cancelled.
- Refunds: contact support within the refund window; genuine issues are resolved fairly.
- You authorise charges at the time of purchase; manage payments via your provider or our support.
8. Intellectual Property
All content within the Service (except member-generated content) — including software, designs, logos and text — is owned by Troobondr or its licensors. You may not reproduce or use it without permission. Member-generated content remains the member's responsibility.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
- The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
- We do not warrant the availability, uptime or completeness of the Service.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Troobondr is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the three (3) months preceding the claim.
- Nothing violates your mandatory statutory rights — if a term is invalid, the remainder stays effective.
10. Freedom of Choice & No Mandatory Arbitration Rights
- You retain full autonomy; you are not forced into arbitration to resolve disputes.
- Where applicable, disputes shall be resolved through courts of competent jurisdiction in India.
- You may also approach consumer fora or mediator-based redressal where legally available.
- We believe in fairness and transparency — nothing in these Terms removes your right to lawful remedies.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to Clause 10, courts of competent jurisdiction in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
